What Is Popcorn Reef?
Popcorn Reef is a San Diego-based special event movie screenings series that’s hosted at Regal Mira Mesa and The Tenth downtown. We like to think of our screenings as giant movie parties where we showcase our favorite cult films and blockbuster flicks of the past.
We’re all about learning how movie magic gets made at Popcorn Reef, so a lot of times, we’re also lucky enough to have the filmmakers join us for Q&A sessions to dive into the creative process after we screen their film. Think about what you want to ask too - we take questions from the crowd.

Why is Popcorn Reef a San Diego thing?
Why shouldn’t San Diego have its own film thing? Our founder, Eddie, is a Scripps Ranch native, and after years of working in the LA film scene, he wanted to bring the magic of repertory cinema to the local neighborhood.
