There’s very few things like a good 80s movie. And there’s very very few things like a Cannon Film. Golan and Globus’s hard-hitting, over-the-top, and fun-first-focused movie studio cranked out some of the most larger-than-life films of all time. And on September 24th, join us at Regal Mira Mesa to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of one of the best said flicks, with the legend who directed it joining us in person for the party.
You read that right: AMERICAN NINJA is coming back to the big screen, San Diego, and we’ve got the architect of the film (and franchise), Mr. Sam Firstenberg (BREAKIN’ 2: ELECTIC BOOGALOO, NINJA III: THE DOMINATION) coming down for the evening to answer all the questions you’ve been dying to ask since you first saw the film when you were 12 years old.
Beyond just being a riotous action movie with kinetic fight sequences and incredible stunt work, AMERICAN NINJA represents everything we love about 80s cinema. It’s exciting, it gives you what you want to see, and above all else, it has a warm heart at its center that evokes a special feeling inside us. How has it been 40 years since it first graced the sliver screen? We’ll let you figure out the answer to that question while we go play with some action figures and get ready for the show.
