When Troma decided to make a high school movie in 1986, naturally they couldn't just make THE BREAKFAST CLUB. Instead, they gave us CLASS OF NUKE 'EM HIGH, a radioactive, punk rock fever dream where a nearby nuclear power plant contaminates the local high school, students start mutating, and the honor roll quickly gives way to giant monsters, exploding heads, and some of the most gleefully unhinged practical effects of the VHS era.
Equal parts horror, sci-fi, comedy, and total cinematic anarchy, it's one of the defining films that helped cement Troma's reputation for doing exactly what Hollywood never could.

KABUKIMAN is also significant in movie history because it laid down several foundations for the modern comic book film, and it did it independently, rawly, and genuinely.
