On April 30th, we kick off our LEGENDS LIVE FOREVER series with a tribute to one of the all-time titans of the big screen, Mr. Gene Hackman. There's so many films we could have picked to honor Gene, and it took us a long time to choose just one. We landed on NIGHT MOVES, a criminally underseen 1975 neo-noir, because it delivers in every facet. Hackman has long been considered a gruff, burly, tough guy-type of actor, and we agree that a lot of his performances lean that way. But in our opinion, the secret sauce to Hackman's success is his ability to play the angry alpha male who also has a hidden vulnerable side, and that nuance is on full-display in NIGHT MOVES.

In this SoCal-set, gritty, 70s-as-fuck neo-noir, Gene plays Harry Moseby, a private eye who's hired to find a runaway teenage girl. As in any noir, this is only the start to the plot, as Harry gets dragged into a dark world that threatens to take his soul.

NIGHT MOVES is an underrated classic, and we're proud to screen it for you guys at The Tenth as we honor one of the best to ever do it.

PLEASE NOTE:

-This show is on the main stage (first floor) of The Tenth Avenue Arts Center (930 10th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101)

-Doors will open at 6:00 PM, and the films will start on the main stage screen at 7:00 PM

-Soft drinks, along with candy, chips, cookies, and crackers will be available for purchase during the show. Feel free to bring in outside food and drink. Hodad's and Pokez are within a block of the venue and are both great options.

-If you are visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, we cannot allow you into the venue. Thanks for your understanding.

-There will be no delivery of tickets via shipping or email - we'll simply have your name on the list at the door (plus however many tickets you buy). Please bring your ID for verification purposes to check in. We can check in partial parties too, so if you're buying for multiple people and you're arriving at different times, don't worry about it.
