What if a cool movie from the past had that type of tagline, with a three-headed seaborn pumpkin monster wreaking havoc on San Diegans during Halloween? We’d watch that. But on Sunday, October 11th, we've got the next best thing. We're taking over the biggest screen in San Diego County (Screen 10 at Regal Mira Mesa) for our most bombastic and overly extravagant Fall Freak Out yet.
Let’s make it official, this year’s Fall Freak Out is all about lucky charms. We’ve been lucky enough to be doing Popcorn Reef for almost four years now, and as we approach our 100th show (!) we had to make our biggest horror event of the year even more outrageous.
What are the specifics? You should know the drill by now: we’re picking a secret lineup of three horror movies with a decidedly fall vibe, and you’ll walk out with a badge of honor if you can survive the entire night.
What’s cooler? We’ve moved the festivities to Sunday, on a holiday weekend no less, and we’re starting this freak show at 5 PM. So, assuming you’re still alive by the time this whole thing’s over, you’ll be back at home to hide under the covers by 11 PM, max.
Also expect vintage fall-horror-themed trailers and snipes between films, contests where you can win cool prizes, and some trivia that will get you into a ghoulish spirit.
We’ve got some insane titles planned for you this year, and trust us, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these movies on a screen this big, anywhere, worldwide. So bring a blanket and your favorite pillow, and grab some candy from the concession stand. This is going to be a night you’ll never forget.

-Feel free to leave early. Feel free to come late. It's a casual thing. Just make sure you check in with the folks up front at Regal and that they scan your ticket when you enter.
-Regal has a full kitchen with some amazing "real food" options in addition to the standard movie theater concessions. They also have wine and beer available for sale. Please take advantage of this - we will have breaks where trailers and old school snipes will be playing between the films, so you won't miss a thing.
-Please bring blankets, pillows, and whatever else you want to make this the most comfortable movie theater marathon you've ever experienced.
