It’s crazy that we’ve been doing this for almost 3 years now, San Diego. If you’ve been around for the majority of the ride, you know very well that our passion for 80s cinema is a main factor in why we do what we do. So this Spooky Season, we’ve decided to kick things up a notch. On Sunday (yes, you read that right, Sunday) October 19th, join us on the brand new luxury recliners at Regal Mira Mesa as we go all out and bring you the ultimate 80s teen movie horror show that will fill your heart with that winning combination of warm nostalgia and existential terror.
What are we showing? You should know the drill by now. Everything will be a secret until showtime. What we can guarantee is that all 3 of these movies are 1) made in the 80s; 2) feature predominantly teenage characters and can be considered “teen movies;” and 3) have a fall/Spooky Season setting.
We’re also starting things early this time so all you kids can get to bed at a reasonable hour. The festivities will begin at 4 PM, and (assuming you don’t wuss out) you'll be out by around 9 PM. You can expect vintage Halloween-themed commercials/trailers in between the films, and don’t forget - Regal has a full food menu and beer and wine, so you don’t have to worry about dinner.
We’ve had a lot of amazing moments with you so far this year, San Diego. From a pure film programming standpoint, this is our biggest show of the year - and we can’t wait to see what you think. Happy Halloween 🎃

-Feel free to leave early. Feel free to come late. It's a casual thing. Just make sure you check in with the folks up front at Regal and that they scan your ticket when you enter.
-Regal has a full kitchen with some amazing "real food" options in addition to the standard movie theater concessions. They also have wine and beer available for sale. Please take advantage of this - we will have breaks where trailers and old school snipes will be playing between the films, so you won't miss a thing.
-Please bring blankets, pillows, and whatever else you want to make this the most comfortable movie theater marathon you've ever experienced.
