Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned Sunday matinee? We asked ourselves that question when we started thinking about how to up the ante for Popcorn Reef in 2026. For some reason, old school action and war movies seem to hit the hardest during these hours, so when we heard that Severin was working on a brand new 4K restoration of the 1979 epic ZULU DAWN, we jumped at the chance to kick this thing off for you guys.
On Sunday March 1st, at a special 2PM time, join us back on the luxury recliners at Regal Mira Mesa and become one of the first audiences in the world to see Severin’s glorious new transfer of one of the hardest hitting historical war films of all time.
Bring your Dad, bring your Grandpa, and bring the whole fam. This is a CinemaScope spectacle that you’re not going to get to experience anywhere else. We’ll see you there!
