We couldn't be more honored to co-present a special screening of ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES! with San Diego Film Week for the closing night of this year's festivities.

One of the most legendary shot-in-San Diego films of all time, AOTKT! is a wonderful homage (and send-up) of the B-monster movies of the 50s. Although it's a riff on those 50s films, watching it now evokes a different type of nostalgia to us here at Popcorn Reef than perhaps originally intended. We dare you to find a better time capsule of the film aesthetic, and certainly the humor, of 70s cinema than what you'll see on the screen watching the film in 2023. The fact that it was produced on a limited budget independently here in San Diego makes it all that much more of a triumph.

Assembling in person for a discussion post-film are producer and co-writer Steve Peace, and co-writer/production manager/costume designer/location scout/"all-purpose bit-player" Costa Dillon.

You'll also get access to the San Diego Film Week Closing Party, presented by Film Consortium, and you'll be in the crowd during the San Diego Film Week awards ceremony. You're not going to want to miss it!
